I’ve always been a dreamer, and the mountains of Southern Alberta, where I was born and raised, provided the first inspiration for my escape into photography. I loved to hike or climb into pristine remote areas, and unveil - real or imagined - the ethereal connection to awe-inspiring vistas through captures of all-too-brief moments in time.
In a similar manner, I’ve looked for precious moments in every-day life and have made a point of recording and gifting those lasting positive memories to family, friends, and community.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of photographing a myriad of events and milestones for employees at Coast Mountain Bus Company, where I currently work as a Communications Coordinator and Photographer. And because I believe in giving back to my community through both work and volunteer efforts, I have gained tremendous experience capturing everything from teams and sports, to architecture and landscapes, and portraiture and weddings.
I recognize there are so many facets to this medium, and as such, am committed to life-long learning in both graphics and photography. I am also eager to fortify that learning by capturing the dramatically different landscapes, people and art that only travel can provide.
I have exhibited at the Langley Camera Club (LCC) and served for three past years on the LCC Executive.
As a member of the Saturday Night Slide Show, I enjoy fueling my photographic passions through exposure to top local photographers and artists, their critiques, and creative perspectives. I’m excited for what the future holds, and believe the best is yet to come! - Charlotte Boychuk
