iPhoneography, new genre of photography?
It's really quite simple, take an iPhone image through the viewfinder of your film camera so that you can forward what you are seeing to your friends who didn't join you on the outing ... just to sort of rub it in what they are missing :)
I use either my Pentax 645 or Canon F-1 on a tripod for iPhoneography, any camera would suffice of course ... this adds zoom lens capability to your iPhone, and the part I like is the split image in the middle with the aperture readings down the side of the F-1 (the Pentax 645N screen does not have a split image, unfortunately). I've used the viewfinder on my Horizont panorama camera as well, which turns the iPhone into a 120 degree panorama camera.
The first iPhoneography image I took, some four years ago (when I received my first iPhone), I sent out the entire SNSS group, it was a hit, so then we needed to come up with a name for this type/style of photography, combining the viewfinder of a 30 year-old film camera with modern iPhone technology ... a lot of suggestions floated back and forth, and in the end we settled on iPhoneography.
